Camassia is also called Indian Hyacinth and is native to North America. Perfect bulbous plant for the prairie garden. The large Camassia leichtlinii and Camassia cusickii combine well with Alliums and perennials. The low Camassia quamash is perfect for naturalising in grass or the semi-shade border. Camassia grows best in a light spot, in moist, humus-rich soil.
