Planting Oxalis bulbs

Oxalis is very suitable for pots or trays, or as a rockery plant. Oxalis needs a lot of water. So give the oxalis plenty of water during prolonged drought. Make sure the soil is well-drained to prevent the bulbs from rotting.

History of the oxalis

Oxalis is actually found all over the world. Except in the polar regions. Originally oxalis comes from South-America and South-Africa. Oxalis comes from the Greek. Oxis' stands for sharp, for the sharp taste of the leaves and 'halys' for salt, contains sharp sap, or from 'Alis' which stands for acidic. Clover sorrel owes its name to the leaves, which resemble clovers and contain oxalic acid.
